What Can I Expect

Music lessons are available for ages 4 and up. Trinity Music Lessons currently offers piano & voice lessons. Some children aren’t ready until age 5, depending on their maturity and attention span. But you don’t have to be a child to take lessons as we teach many adults, teenagers and kids.

Lessons are once a week, same day/time per week. You can expect a friendly loving environment, yet professional. While we are determined that every student develops the skills to read music, we also want them to love what they play. While we can’t guarantee that all students will like every piece they are assigned, they do get to choose a “fun book” to play from in addition to their regular curriculum books. As long as their choice of music is appropriate for their age (some of the newer music out can be very inappropriate) we allow them to choose anything they want.

Trinity Music Lessons believes that every child learns differently. We are not a “Our way or the highway” kind of teaching environment. We personally believe that teachers need to adjust their teaching style to fit each student’s individual needs. We use many different curriculums. Some move faster, some move slower, some for younger students, some for older. We assess every student and will put together a teaching plan depending on the individual student’s strengths and weaknesses.

We have taught many students with academic challenges throughout the years and we do everything in our power to support them and help them achieve their goals. Our teachers have experience working with students with learning disabilitiese, Autism (on both sides of the spectrum) Aspersers, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. Trinity Music Lessons never backs down from any challenge and we strive to do our best to engage each student on their level and develop the right approach for them to learn.
